This year’s African arts and culture festival dubbed – The International Art and Culture Forum & Talent Exhibition 2026 is a full-day global cultural gathering celebrating art, heritage, innovation, performance, and entrepreneurship. This forum brings together artists, cultural practitioners, entrepreneurs, academics, professionals, youth, and elders from Canada and internationally, with a strong emphasis on communities of African descent.
The event blends exhibitions, performances, business showcases, academic dialogue, workshops, and the Wisdom Elders Circle, concluding with a cultural dinner and late-night talent showcase.

Call for Abstracts (NEW)

International Art, Culture & Creative Research Submissions

African Descent Ontario invites artists, academics, researchers, cultural practitioners, and professionals to submit abstracts for presentation at the Forum.

Submission Themes Include:

  • African diaspora art, identity, and heritage
  • Cultural preservation and storytelling
  • Creative industries and innovation
  • Art, design, and technology
  • Entrepreneurship and economic empowerment
  • Youth leadership and education
  • Intergenerational knowledge systems
  • Community development and cultural policy

Guidelines:

  • Abstract length: 250–400 words
  • Include title, author(s), and affiliation (if applicable)
  • Submissions must be original work
  • Selected presenters will be invited to speak or exhibit during the forum
