We are excited to announce an open scholarship opportunity for individuals to attend the 3rd. Annual African Descent International Art and Culture Exhibition- Roots &Renaissance. This is a unique event that brings together artists, cultural practitioners, and thought leaders from around the world to celebrate and explore the vibrant art and culture of the African diaspora in Canada.

If you are passionate about African heritage, culture, and the arts, and wish to participate as a delegate, we invite you to apply for a scholarship to help cover the costs of registration, travel, and accommodation.

About the Exhibition

The 3rd Annual African Descent International Art and Culture Exhibition will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2025, at 237 Sackville Street. This year’s event will showcase a variety of visual art, performance art, and cultural discussions focused on themes of identity, empowerment, and the diverse experiences of the African diaspora.

This exhibition will serve as a platform for cross-cultural exchange, allowing delegates to share ideas, showcase their art, and contribute to ongoing conversations about the role of African-descended peoples in shaping global art and culture.

Scholarship Details

We are offering both full scholarships and partial scholarships to assist individuals with the costs of attending the exhibition.

The scholarships will cover:

  • Full Scholarships: All expenses including event registration, travel, and accommodation.
  • Partial Scholarships: A portion of the expenses (either travel or accommodation, depending on availability and location).

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be 18 years of age or older
  2. Have a passion for African art and culture
  3. Be an emerging or established artist, curator, cultural practitioner, or student in a related field
  4. Demonstrate financial need to attend the event
  5. Be available to attend the exhibition from November 29 to December 1, 2025
